Deflector Rolls

Deflector Rolls

Mainly used to change the running direction of the strip. There is an enveloping angle between the strip and the deflector roll, and the work roll strip provides a radial load on the deflector roll due to the tension in the strip production process. The roughness of the surface of the deflector roll and the radial load will directly affect the relative sliding between the strip and surface of the roll.

Typical Hardness: (70-90 Durometer, Shore A)

Why Are Deflector Rolls Important?

Deflector rolls are used in the steel industry for precise material control, reducing waste, and changing the direction of steel strips. They help maintain accuracy and precision during processes like cutting, printing, or coating. Deflector rolls are designed for low friction and high durability. They have a more porous surface design that allows for consistent strip contact and higher line speed.
