Core Construction

- Core Materials: Steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, available in solid or tubing construction.
- Precision Machining: Journals and bearing seats manufactured or restored to print for accurate fit and alignment.
- Journal & Shaft Services: Shaft replacement, weld buildup, and press-fit services extend core service life.
- Dynamic Balancing: Rolls balanced to ensure smooth, vibration-free operation under high-speed tensioning.
- Complete Assemblies: Available fully assembled with shafts, bearings, couplings, and urethane coverings for direct installation.
Urethane Covering
The urethane covering is tuned to deliver controlled traction and protect strip surfaces while under constant tension.
- Durometer Range: Custom polyurethane hardness, typically 85–95 Shore A for traction and durability.
- Surface Finish: Smooth ground for non-marking strip handling; rough-ground finishes for added grip in oily or wet environments.
- Grooved Options: Diamond, helix, herringbone, spiral, chevron, checkerboard, and crepe profiles available for traction and fluid shedding.
- Performance Properties: Excellent abrasion resistance, high tear strength, and non-marring contact under repeated tension cycles.
- Bonding & Cure: Grit-blasted cores, primer adhesives, and heat-cured polyurethane ensure permanent adhesion and prevent delamination.
