Carry-Over Rolls

Carry-Over Rolls

These support rolls are associated with loop cars. These rolls are 4” to 6” diameter and are not driven. A common practice is to support the entry pass into and or perhaps out of a loop car on rolls spaced 5 or 6 feet apart.

Typical Hardness: (90-95 Durometer, Shore A)

Benefits of using urethane on a carry-over roll

  • Wear resistance: Urethane rollers are wear-resistant and can carry higher loads than other materials with similar hardness.
  • Durability: Urethane is known for its high resistance to wear and tear, making it ideal for high-load and high-frequency applications.
  • Load-bearing: Urethane rollers can handle significant loads without deforming.
  • Noise abatement: Urethane rollers are quieter in operation.
  • Abrasion resistance: Urethane rollers are resistant to abrasion.
  • Solvent resistance: Urethane rollers are resistant to solvents.
